It always surprises me when I realize I am unknowingly being influenced by my surroundings. I have been on the New Jersey coast the last two days. Salt marshes, sand, and the mighty Atlantic Ocean prejudiced my choices this week’s Friday Favorites.

Side Table

This side table painted in Smoky Mountain Gray has a handy pull out shelf that would nicely hold a refreshing beverage with a tropical umbrella.  The table was pinned by Jan Brighter Lunsford on this PinterestÒ board.

Second in the line-up is a fabulous chest of drawers painted by Ellen Russow.   It would work equally as well in a bedroom, bath, or living area in a seaside cottage. I like thinking it is in a wind-swept ocean side bungalow, holding board games, a shell collection and pictures of fun times past. Dresser  The picture first appeared on the Martha Marie Vintage FacebookÒ page. It was pinned to this Pinterest page.

Last, but not least, is what I am calling a beach towel rack (aka coat rack for those of us that are land-locked). This is installed outside the back door entry of my imaginary beach house. If, like me, you don’t have a beach house, it would be great for towels in a nautical themed bathroom. Waves    The Santa Fe Turquoise wave rack was pinned on here on Taylor Hoffman’s Dear Olympia Pinterest board.
